Welcome NEW Member: Neal Creek Retreat in Belvidere, Tennessee
Neal Creek Retreat, founded by Marine Corps veteran Jeffrey Johnson alongside his wife Linda, stands as an exceptional sanctuary, seamlessly blending a Christ-centered environment with the calming ambiance of a creek-side haven. Neal Creek’s unwavering mission revolves around the creation of an idyllic space that not only glorifies God, but also serves as a refuge for those seeking tranquility.
Nestled across 18 acres in the picturesque landscape of Belvidere, Tennessee, Neal Creek Retreat boasts a modern farmhouse offering over 3,000 square feet of exquisite living space. With a capacity to comfortably accommodate up to 10 overnight guests and larger groups for day retreats, the farmhouse is designed to be a versatile space. Its features include private bedrooms with full baths, an open, fully equipped kitchen, a dining area, and a cozy seating space complemented by a stone fireplace. The Johnson’s plan is to offer couple and Christian retreats, weddings and other events, such as Christian concerts, yoga retreats, and Gaelic games.
As dedicated proponents of Southern hospitality, the Johnsons personalize each guest's experience, extending warm welcomes with thoughtful touches like welcome notes, a bottle of wine, or chocolates. The farmhouse opens to an east-facing sunroom, inviting guests to unwind and connect with the soothing sounds of Neal Creek. Three French doors lead to a spacious balcony overlooking the creek, complete with a fire-bowl table, chairs for outdoor dining, a couch with ottomans, a firepit, and a hammock chair.
Outdoor enthusiasts will find an array of amenities to enjoy, from a Blackstone griddle and rock fire pit to picnic tables and games like volleyball and cornhole. For those seeking more active pursuits, the retreat provides equipment for sports like baseball and kickball, as well as options to reserve bikes for Tims Ford Park trails or kayaks for exploring the Elk River.
Beyond the Johnsons' immediate family, including their four adult children and five grandchildren, they immerse themselves in the care of peach and apple orchards while enjoying leisurely walks with their beagle hounds, Smith and Wesson. Their goal is to extend the unique offerings of Neal Creek Retreat to a broader audience, inviting everyone to partake in the sheer delight found in the retreat's natural beauty and serene atmosphere. It's about sharing the simple pleasures of life and creating opportunities for individuals to experience the abundant joy that can be derived from connecting with God and each other, fostering a sense of well-being and contentment.
